Evaluation criteria

The evaluation of the subjects will be as follows:

Seminars
Each of the advanced seminars has a value of 1.5 ECTS, that is aproximately 40 hours. The seminars are held in two sessions of compulsory attendance of around 3 hours. All students who attend these sessions must also do work about 36 hours of commitment proposed by the rapporteur and to be delivered in a established maximum period.



The final evaluation of the seminars will be: 40% for the assistance and 60% for the coursework.

Master's Thesis

Master's Thesis can be written in Spanish or English languages. In any case, title as well as the abstract (with a 300 to 500 words) must be written in both languages. The work will be considerated as finnished with the tutor's approval, which must be translated into a reasoned report and sent to the Master's Academic Committee, along with a digital copy in Adobe Acrobat format. The Commission will then appoint a tribunal academic assessment for the Master's Thesis and to which the student must orally defend their proposal. This defense can only be carried out once the student has passed stating that the other materials that make up its academic curriculum. The Tribunal shall consist of the tutor, as rapporteur, and two other professors appointed from among those who are part of the faculty of the Master, at least one specialist in the project field.

 

Between the two professors appointed an act as president (the most senior academic and senior) and the other as clerk. The Master Academic Commission set the beginning of each academic year in two periods which will focus the defense of individual projects. In each case the specific day and date of the act of defense, and the place to be held shall be fixed by the presiding judge and communicated to the other two members, the student and the academic committee with at least fifteen days in advance.



The Academic Committee will give maximum publicity to the notice of the act of defense. The defense of Master's final project will be public and free support. Students will be provided for presentation in a time of 20 minutes. Then, for a total time maximum of 30 minutes, members of the court may ask the student how many clarifications and questions they wish. In no circumstances will the intervention of the people attending the event. The rating should be disclosed within 24 hours from the end of act of defense, and referred literally and numerically according to the following scale:


 

  • Failed (<5.0)
  • Passed (5.0 - 6,9)
  • Outstanding (Grade of B) (7.0 to 8.9)
  • Excellent (Grade of A) (9.0 - 10)
